This 96"W x 42"D x 96"H structural starter pallet rack kit is manufactured of high-strength American structural steel and the best value in structural racking – delivering lasting durability and greater resistance to forklift impacts with a total capacity* up to 39,990 lb and individual level capacity to 5460 lb. This SK3000 bay starter kit includes all necessary upright frames (2), beams (4), and 1/2" x 1" grade 5 bolts and wiz nuts for beam connections to quickly create your first pallet racking bay (concrete floor anchors sold separately). Optionally, join our bay add-ons (sold separately and displayed in the Add-on Products on this page) to continue creating a longer aisle of storage racking or purchase additional SK3000 beams to increase storage levels within your bay(s). Our easy-to-assemble bolted design delivers greater overall strength and rigidity with its heavy-duty C-channel American steel construction and bracing. With a long service life, low maintenance costs, and proven reliability, SK3000 is a high-performing material handling rack that will deliver lasting storage and operational safety benefits. An appealing powder coat in our Precaution Blue (frames) and highly-visible yellow (beams) color not only makes the racking appealing but it also more durable against damage, and more resistant to chemicals and scratches compared to liquid paint coatings. It is a modular system, providing flexibility to fit a wide variety of applications and expands easily as your storage requirements grow.
- Heavy-duty lower horizontal braces for strength
- 7 gauge steel plates welded to each column to efficiently disperse floor loads
- Beams manufactured with high-strength steel (55,000 psi min step, 50,000 psi min channel) for superior strength and safety
- One piece, continuously welded with full-vertical fillet weld (stronger than spot welding)
- 7 gauge wrap-around beam connector plates provide square, tight beam-to-column connections; adjustable in 2" vertical increments
- Grade 5 hardware with two bolt connections per beam provides 57% more strength than single bolt designs

*Notes to Upright Capacities:
- Capacity is based on 36" vertical beam spacing; larger spacing will decrease capacity.
- Capacities based upon interior usage.
- Capacities are for selective rack only.
- Capacities are for non-seismic usage; contact us for seismic requirements.
- All columns and posts must be properly anchored (anchors sold separately) to an adequate concrete floor (required by RMI code)
- Capacities based upon plumb and proper installation.
- Capacities are total per upright, assuming equal loading on both posts.
- For any outdoor storage, stainless steel anchors are required.
If any of these conditions do not apply to your application, or you are unsure, do not use these capacities and consult our engineering department to ensure proper specification and application requirements are met. A permit and/or stamped calculations may also be required by your local building department prior to installation and is the responsibility of the end user. Contact us for any seismic location requirements prior to ordering.
